Linux Desktop PC Installed Software Packages

Linux PC Installed Hardware and Drivers

1. LAN hardware will be installed and configured with all the necessary drivers.
2. Modem will be installed and configured with all the necessary drivers.
3. Video card and monitor.
Linux PC purchases WITHOUT monitor: Video card will be installed and X-Window system will be configured for 800x600 16-bit resolution with No 3D, for a generic monitor.
Linux PC purchases WITH monitor: Video card will be installed and X-Window system will be configured for 1024x768 16-bit resolution 3D enabled for the monitor supplied.

Linux PC Hard Disk Partitioning

Unless you request a different partitioning scheme, regardless of the size of the HDD, the following is our default partitioning scheme;

Testing and Compatibility

Every single Linux PC will be hand build to your specification.
Linux Distribution and installed software packages will be configured to work with your selected hardware.
The PC will be subjected to a 24-hour burn-in test.

Software (CDs / DVDs) : Downloaded Linux versions

Systems which are purchases with a downloaded Linux version preloaded will have the download version of the distribution saved on their Hard Disk Drive (HDD) in the form made available for download by the vendor. You will receive instructions of how to burn these to CDs (or DVDs) if you wish and if possible.
Note: if you wish to receive the distributions other than the one installed we will be happy to save it to your HDD. Please specify your request while ordering.

Software (CDs / DVDs) : Purchased boxed Linux versions

Systems which are purchases with a boxed Linux version preloaded will receive the full distribution package as supplied by the vendors and the product will be registered to the customer’s name (if registration is required). Please check the vendor web sites for the details of full contents of boxed packages.

Documentation : Downloaded Linux versions

For systems purchases with a downloaded Linux version preloaded all software documentation will consist of online documents and manuals, which are supplied as default by the distribution package. There will be no printed documentation supplied by Priman2000 Ltd.

Documentation : Purchased boxed Linux versions

Systems, which are purchases with a boxed Linux version preloaded, will include the original vendor supplied documentation. Please check the vendor web sites for the details of such documents and their format.
